Off campus access

Off Campus Access To Library Resources

Current Greensboro College students, faculty, and staff can access nearly all of the library's databases and electronic resources from off campus through the library's proxy server.

  1. Use the links on the library's databases and electronic resources page https://libguides.greensboro.edu/az.php to connect to electronic resources. Please note that product and vendor-specific URLs (e.g. www.jstor.org) and bookmarks that use them usually won't work off campus. You'll need to use the links on the library's webpage to access.

  1. After you click on a database link from a library webpage, you'll be prompted to enter your Greensboro College username and password. Note: This is the same username and password you use for Moodle and for logging into the campus wifi.

        3. Once you've logged in and been authenticated, you'll be taken directly to the database.

        4. If you have any issues logging in, please contact the library. If you need to reset your password please use the "Reset Password" form on the college's website or contact the GCIT.

  • Please also note that some databases including ebooks offer patrons the options to create a free account to save items. This is is optional and is separate from your campus account. Any of these accounts would need to be set up separately.
